Erika Garrett
Owner | Lead Stylist
Erica has been a stylist for 20+ years. She found her passion for hair at 16 when she started school in California. Year after year, her passion has continued to grow. She loves keeping up with new trends and color techniques through classes and social media.
Erica moved to Houston from California in 2016 and found a new home in Houston Heights.
She specializes in long hair and color. Whether it be keeping the hair you have long and healthy or helping you realize the long hair you wish to have with Hair Dreams extensions..she is your girl!
Parrish Warren
Stylist | Men & Women Cuts, Color Specialist
Parrish moved to Houston in August 2011 and began working at Salon in the Heights December of the same year. He loves Houston and The Heights! His favorite part of working with customers is the consultation; finding out what their desires and needs are and customizing the cuts and colors accordingly.
He also works for the hair company Matrix as an educator sharing his love of hair with other stylists. In addition to working at hair shows he loves to attend them.
Parrish also enjoys playing a variety of games with friends and doing Trap Neuter/Spay Release for community cats.

The History of Salon in the Heights
Locally owned and operated since 2006
In his early 20s, founder Mark Pessolano knew that the beauty industry was his career path. Following his move from New Jersey to Atlanta, he opened his first salon. During visits to Houston in the mid-80s, he fell in love with Houston and, in particular, with The Heights. Due to the fact that many of his clients in Atlanta were dependent upon him for their hair needs, he made the decision to keep his salon open and, for the next 12 years, alternated work between Houston and Atlanta.
Mark then determined that The Heights was his permanent home and in 2006, he opened the Salon in The Heights at 1438 Yale Street. Mark's warm and caring personality is felt, not only within the salon, but by each client who passes through the door.
In 2016 Erica joined Mark at Salon in the Heights, working at the chair next to Mark and helping to continue the mission of Salon in the Heights.
In 2025 Mark decided to retire and Erica stepped up to take the reigns of Salon in the Heights. She is now the owner and lead stylist.
